Spanish for Native Speakers (SNS) Education
The State of the Field- Overview (CAL):

The summer institute, "Building the Knowledge and Expertise of Teachers of Spanish to Heritage Spanish Speakers," funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), was held at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) June 26 to August 4, 2000. Thirty middle and high school Spanish teachers from across the United States participated in the institute, which was sponsored by the Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) and the UCLA Language Resource Program.

Heritage Language Research Priorities Conference Report:
The Conference objective was to identify broad areas of research in heritage language education and within these areas to define key researchable questions that might be political, sociological, psychological or linguistic in nature.

Heritage Languages in America: Second National Conference:
The Second National Conference on Heritage Languages in America will be held in Tysons Corner, VA (a suburb of Washington, D.C.) October 18-20, 2002.
