David Ellis, Assistant Director
David Ellis is Assistant Director of the National Foreign Language Center (NFLC) at the University of Maryland. He has over a decade of experience in foreign language teaching, training, and curriculum design. He also has several years experience in management and administration in academic, business, and military settings. Currently, he is responsible for the development and oversight of foreign language training materials at the NFLC, with a particular emphasis on language assessment. David earned his BA in Economics & Mathematics from the U.S. Military Academy and his MA in English as a Second Language from the University of Hawaii. He is currently in pursuit of his PhD in Second Language Acquisition at the University of Maryland, College Park, with a concurrent MA in Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation.
