LangSource: A Bibliographical Database for Teaching Culture
LangSource is a searchable, annotated bibliographic database of language and culture resources. The database is an open site, accessible to the public, government agencies, teachers, and students interested in foreign language.
In addition to Professional Development for K-12 and post-secondary language teachers, LangSource provides recommended resources for Arabic, Chinese, German, Hausa, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Quechua, Spanish, Tamil, and Yoruba.
These resources were selected and approved by editorial boards in order to assure quality control and provide useful descriptions of each resource. The NFLC has collaborated with the following professional associations on this project:
- American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL)
- American Association of Teachers of Arabic (AATA)
- American Association of Teachers of German (AATG)
- American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP)
- Alliance of Associations of Teachers of Japanese (AATJ)
- Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS)
